Why did you decide to organize a virtual event?

From the beginning our intention was not to arrange a virtual conference, but rather a live conference at The Danish Technical University in Copenhagen. However, due to the situation of the pandemic and governmental restrictions, we had not choice but to convert the whole conference to a virtual one.

What was the industry and purpose of the event?

The theme of the conference was Sustainable Healthcare, with the aim to foster a discussion on how the healthcare sector can lower its environmental impact and climate footprint. The purpose of the conference was to bring together relevant stakeholders and foster collaborations in this field, and exchange knowledge and best practices from all over the world.

Was this your first virtual event and how was the experience?

This was our first larger event in conference format. We have previously arranged smaller webinars online, but this time we needed a platform that was more suitable for interaction and networking for the participants. The experience was very positive.

Dealroom was surprisingly easy to use and navigate, both for us in the team arranging the conference, but also for our participants.

We learned how to act quickly and smoothly when a speaker had a technical difficulty, and the Dealroom support was a big help in these situations. We also learned more about how to engage participants in the discussions, which can be a bit of a challenge in online events.
